Question: I Have a Kings Charles Spaniel about 5 years old and most the day Calle sleeps. I have never taken her on a trail and she does not seem to need much exercise. When we go for walks she does seem to get excited about going out. Do you think it would be good to have her go hiking with you?
Answer: Dogs and people both need exercise. Calle’s breed is typically not a high energy breed but their is no question that some fresh air and walking an hour a day will increase her energy and extend her longevity. I would recommend the hiking group that my wife Annie takes. Her group has a lot of fun dogs that are about the same age. Our own dogs are smaller then Calle and they go to every day.
Question: Two years ago my kids each wanted a dog so we went to the animal shelter and came home with two dogs Ruby and Jack. I just recently started working again and my kids don’t have time to take the dogs out as much as i like. Some days i work from home other days i am gone all day. Can I call you on short notice to take the dogs out either all day or half day?
Answer: Absolutely! You can call us or e mail us anytime before 5:00 AM on the same day as you need help. Between the two of us we can work with your schedule.
Question: I did not see any pricing information. Do You have a price list?
Answer: We offer so many services that unfortunately, we cannot price all of them. The price depends on several factors including:
- Number of dogs needing service
- Frequency of service
Question: I have a Chihuahua mix about 6 pounds. I would like her to go to the dog park but I am worried that she might get stepped on by a larger dog.
Answer: Dog Gone Fitness are the only dog walkers that are able to separate the dogs into the large dog park and the small dog park. When Annie or Bob will arrive at the dog park in the afternoon one of them will go with the small dogs and the other will go into the large dog park.
Question: I have a 5 year old Standard Poodle and have never taken Josi hiking. do you think she can do it?
Answer: We have several poodles that go hiking on a regular basis. Standards in particular love to hike and are well suited for an active lifestyle. On our first few hikes we will keep her on leash. if she is doing well we will transition to a double leash were she is walking with one of our regulars. If she passes that then we can try supervised off leash hiking.
